Frequently asked questions

What is the ALR2348 valance panel?
The ALR2348 is a valance panel for the Land Rover Discovery 1 (1989-1998), forming part of the lower wheelarch and valance section. It's a body panel that closes off the area below the arch, tidying the bodywork and shielding inner structure from road spray.
Where does the valance panel fit on a Discovery 1?
The valance panel fits the lower body of the Discovery 1 (1989-1998), around the wheelarch and valance section. It sits below the arch line, bridging the outer body and the inner wing area. Corrosion and off-road damage are common reasons it needs replacing.
Is the ALR2348 still the current panel?
The ALR2348 has been superseded by a later part number for the Discovery 1 valance panel. The superseding version replaces it while fitting the same 1989-1998 body position, VIN FA393361 to WA799999. Check you're ordering the current equivalent if buying old stock.
How do I confirm this valance fits my Discovery 1?
Confirm your Discovery 1 falls in the 1989-1998 range, VIN FA393361 to WA799999, and that you need the wheelarch valance section. A matching panel exists for the opposite side, so check which side you're repairing against your vehicle before ordering.
