O-ring Een rubberen afdichtring die in de buitenverlichtingsconstructie wordt gebruikt om de zijmarkeringslamp weerbestendig te maken.

De O-ring zit tussen de lamphouder en het lamphuis en houdt vocht en vuil buiten de lampcontacten, waardoor een betrouwbare elektrische verbinding wordt behouden. Deze wordt vernieuwd telkens wanneer de lamp of lamphouder wordt verstoord.
