Temperatuursensor - Bruin is de koelvloeistoftemperatuurtransducer voor de 1.8L K-Serie benzinemotor.

Deze wordt in de koelvloeistofrail geschroefd en meet de koelvloeistoftemperatuur, waarbij het signaal wordt geleverd aan de motor-ECU voor brandstof- en koelventilatorregeling, terwijl ook de temperatuurmeter op het dashboard wordt aangestuurd. De bruine connectorbehuizing onderscheidt deze van de afzonderlijke koelventilator-temperatuurschakelaar die op dezelfde motor wordt gebruikt.

Deze wordt via twee stekkeraansluitingen aangesloten op de kabelboom.

The MEK100060L is the engine coolant temperature sensor for the Freelander 1 1.8L K-Series petrol engine. It threads into the coolant rail and signals coolant temperature to the ECU for fuelling and cooling-fan control, and also drives the dashboard temperature gauge.

How is the brown temperature sensor different from the cooling-fan switch?

The brown-connector MEK100060L is the coolant temperature transducer that feeds the ECU and gauge. It's not the separate cooling-fan temperature switch used on the same K-Series engine. Check the connector body is brown and has two spade terminals to confirm you have the right part.
