What is the DA1878 extractor set used for?

It's a 12-piece set for removing rounded, seized or sheared fasteners that a standard socket or spanner can no longer grip. Each extractor bites into the damaged fastener so you can back it out.

How does a bolt extractor work?

Each of the 12 extractors has a reverse-spiral flute that grips tighter under load as you turn it anti-clockwise, backing out damaged bolts, rounded nuts and stripped studs. You use it with a standard ratchet or bar.
