What does the ERR2073 drive belt do?
The ERR2073 is the auxiliary drive belt for the 3.5L V8 petrol engine. Running from the crankshaft pulley, it drives the alternator and, where fitted, the air-conditioning compressor. This is the conventional V-section belt for the non-PolyVee pulley setup, not the later multi-ribbed type.
How do I know if I need the non-PolyVee belt or the later type?
Check your pulley arrangement. This belt suits the early non-PolyVee V8 setup with a plain V-section pulley, not the later multi-ribbed PolyVee system. The two aren't interchangeable, so confirm your crankshaft and alternator pulleys before ordering.
