Frequently asked questions

What is the GA1080 Light Kit used for?
The GA1080 Light Kit is a full set of ten 73mm round exterior lamps for the Land Rover Defender: four amber indicators, two clear front side lamps, two red rear stop/tail lamps and two amber side repeaters. It renews a weathered or cracked lamp set in one go instead of replacing lenses individually.
Which Defender models fit the GA1080 light kit?
GA1080 fits the Land Rover Defender from approximately 1994 on, once the 300Tdi engine was introduced (AllMakes' Late Def Light Kit spec). It's built for standard body apertures and plugs onto the existing wiring without modification.
Does fitting the GA1080 kit require rewiring the Defender?
No. Each lamp in the GA1080 kit plugs straight onto the Defender's existing bulb holder wiring, so it's a direct swap for the ten original lenses rather than a rewiring job.
