What does this radiator muff do?

This fabric cover fits across the front grille to restrict airflow through the radiator. In cold weather it shortens engine warm-up time and helps the cabin heater reach temperature sooner.

Do I need to remove it once the engine warms up?

No removal needed. Once the engine reaches operating temperature, the panel rolls up and secures itself so full airflow through the radiator is restored.

Does this have any use off-road?
