What is the GA6061 CV joint kit for?
The GA6061 is a front axle CV joint kit for the Discovery 1, specified for non-ABS axles with a 10-spline halfshaft at the differential end. It includes the CV joint, bearing, seals, gaskets and swivel grease.
Does the GA6061 fit every Discovery 1?
It fits non-ABS Discovery 1s built from 1989 to 1998, up to VIN JA032851. Later chassis numbers may use a different configuration, so check your VIN against that break point if your Discovery 1 is from the end of that production run.
How many GA6061 kits do I need for both sides?
One kit services a single CV joint, so two are needed to replace both sides of the front axle. Most workshops replace both sides together since wear is typically similar side to side.
