Frequently asked questions

What does the KKB103120 engine mounting do?
This rubber-to-metal bonded mounting sits between the engine mounting bracket and the chassis mounting foot on the Range Rover Classic, carrying the weight of the engine and isolating vibration and noise from the chassis. It uses M10 fixings.
What happens if this engine mounting fails?
A perished, split, or collapsed mounting allows excessive engine movement, which you'll feel as vibration through the body and which can load the exhaust and ancillary connections over time.
Should I replace both engine mountings at once?
Yes. Mountings are normally renewed in pairs so that engine alignment is maintained. Replacing only one side can leave the engine sitting slightly off, loading the new mounting unevenly.
Which Range Rover applies to the KKB103120 engine mounting?
Fits the Range Rover Classic (1970-1994).
