What is the water pump outlet coolant hose for?
This coolant hose is the water pump outlet hose, carrying coolant away from the water pump outlet into the cooling circuit. It forms part of the flow path that circulates coolant through the engine. Fitted to supercharged V6 and V8 petrol Range Rover L405 and Range Rover Sport L494.
Does this fit diesel Range Rovers?
This hose fits supercharged petrol engines only, the 3.0 V6 SC and 5.0 V8 SC AJ133, on Range Rover L405 and Range Rover Sport L494. It's not fitted to diesel variants. On L405 the 3.0 V6 SC is the Solihull build (VIN EA000001-EA999999).
Why does the water pump outlet hose need replacing?
Replace this hose when it perishes, cracks or leaks at the water pump outlet, which causes coolant loss and overheating risk. On these supercharged petrol engines it sits in a hot area of the bay. A sound hose keeps the pump outlet sealed.
