What is the LR059122CDG front brake disc?
The LR059122CDG is an internally vented front brake disc for the Discovery Sport (2015 on) and Range Rover Evoque L538 (2012-2018) with 17-inch front brakes. It bolts to the front hub as the friction surface for the front caliper and pads, with internal vanes that draw air through to dissipate heat.
How many front brake discs are needed, and are left and right the same?
You need two front brake discs for a complete axle set, and the left- and right-hand sides are interchangeable, so both corners take the same disc. It's best to replace front discs in pairs on the Discovery Sport and Evoque so braking stays even. This item is supplied singly.
When should the front brake discs be replaced?
Front brake discs on the Discovery Sport and Evoque should be replaced when worn below minimum thickness, scored, cracked, or warped enough to cause vibration under braking. Discs wear alongside the pads, so they're often renewed together. Fit the correct 17-inch disc for your vehicle's brake setup.
