What is the LR075763 coupling pump used for?

The LR075763 coupling pump is the electro-hydraulic pump that drives the rear axle all-wheel-drive coupling on the Range Rover Evoque L538. It generates the pressure that closes the coupling's clutch pack so torque can be sent rearward. This is the Allmakes unit.

Which Evoque L538 versions does this pump fit?

It fits all-wheel-drive Range Rover Evoque L538 models from 2012 to 2018, both the six-speed AWF21 automatic and the M66 manual. Front-wheel-drive Evoques have no rear coupling, so this pump doesn't apply to them.

Can the coupling pump be replaced on its own, or does the whole coupling need changing?

The pump is serviced separately from the coupling on the Evoque L538, which is why it carries its own part number. Whether the coupling itself is reusable depends on the condition of the clutch pack, so it's worth inspecting the coupling and its fluid while the pump is off.

What causes the AWD coupling pump to fail?
