What is the inner circlip used for?
The inner circlip retains the inner end of the axle driveshaft in the axle, locking it against axial movement. It's a small genuine Land Rover clip used on the Discovery Sport, Range Rover Evoque (2019 on) and Velar driveshaft installation.
How many circlips are needed for a driveshaft job?
Typically one inner circlip is used per driveshaft joint being disturbed. If you're removing driveshafts on both sides, you'll usually need one clip per shaft. It's supplied as an individual clip.
Can the driveshaft circlip be reused?
The driveshaft circlip is typically replaced rather than reused once the shaft has been removed, as these clips can lose tension on removal. Fitting a fresh clip helps make sure the driveshaft locks securely back into the axle on the Discovery Sport and Evoque.
