What does this exhaust heat shield do?
This exhaust heat shield is the centre-section shield that isolates the propshaft and rear driveshaft from exhaust heat. Mounted along the underbody between the exhaust and driveline, it deflects radiated heat away from the centre of the propshaft on All Wheel Drive models, protecting the shaft and its couplings.
Which models does it fit?
It fits All Wheel Drive versions of the Discovery Sport (2015+) and Range Rover Evoque L551 (2019+). On the Discovery Sport it fits VIN LH000001 to NH999999; later builds use a superseding part, so confirm your VIN before ordering.
Where is it located and why would it need replacing?
It sits in the centre underbody, between the exhaust system and the propshaft on All Wheel Drive vehicles. Heat shields like this typically need replacing if they corrode, crack or work loose and rattle, which can let exhaust heat reach the driveline.
