The LR135655G is the left-hand powered tailgate strut for the Range Rover Evoque L538 (2012-2018). Unlike a plain gas stay, it's electrically driven and carries the tailgate through its opening and closing travel, working as a matched pair with the right-hand unit on the hands-free power tailgate.
Should I replace both tailgate struts at once?
The powered struts work as a left and right pair on the Evoque L538, so when one side weakens or fails the other is usually close behind. This LR135655G is the left-hand unit only. Many owners renew both sides together to keep the tailgate travel balanced.
Does this fit every Evoque tailgate?
