How many sets does the rear axle need?

One set renews both rear wheels. Pads must be replaced as a complete axle set so braking stays balanced left to right. Check the rear discs are within wear limits before fitting, and bed the new pads in gently for the first drives.

What preparation does the electric park brake need?

On vehicles with an electric parking brake, wind the rear caliper pistons back using the brake service routine on a diagnostic tool before the old pads come out. Forcing the pistons back without service mode can damage the actuator motor.
