What is the LR171244LR coolant outlet tube?
The LR171244LR coolant outlet tube (Genuine Land Rover) forms the water outlet connection at the cylinder head on the 2.0L AJ200 Ingenium petrol engine. It carries coolant out of the head into the hoses feeding the radiator and heater circuit.
Why does this coolant outlet tube fail?
The joint where the coolant outlet tube meets the cylinder head is a known seepage point as the moulded housing and its sealing face age. A weeping tube shows as coolant loss or residue around the head outlet. Inspect the head sealing face, seat the tube squarely and bleed the system after fitting.
