What is the MWC2192 upper tailgate?
The MWC2192 is the aluminium upper section of the two-piece rear tailgate on the Range Rover Classic. It frames the rear screen aperture and carries the mounting points for the tailgate hinges, latch and support stays, hinged at the roof line above the lower drop-down tailgate.
Does this panel come with central locking?
No, the MWC2192 is supplied less central door locking. On a Classic fitted with central locking, you transfer the existing lock actuator across from the old panel to the replacement. Plan to reuse that hardware when you swap the tailgate.
Which Range Rover Classic does this fit?
The MWC2192 fits the Range Rover Classic built 1986 to 1991, up to VIN HA610293. Confirm your VIN falls within that range before ordering, as later Classic tailgate assemblies differ.
