Frequently asked questions

What does the MWC4763 glazing rubber do?
The MWC4763 glazing rubber lines the U-section lift channel that the bottom edge of the front door glass seats into on the Land Rover Defender. It grips the pane and couples it to the regulator, so the glass raises and lowers without the mechanism loading the glass edge directly. Sized for 4mm glass.
How many glazing rubbers are needed per vehicle?
Two are used per vehicle, one for each front door on the Land Rover Defender. They fit 4mm door glass, so confirm your glass thickness before ordering, as the lift channel rubber is sized to the pane.
What happens when the lift channel rubber wears out?
Once the rubber hardens or crushes, the glass works loose in the channel, tilts as it travels, and can part company with the regulator. Renewing it restores a firm grip on the 4mm glass on the Land Rover Defender front door.
