Frequently asked questions

What is the NRC7570 fuel tank?
The NRC7570 is a replacement fuel tank for the Land Rover Defender 110, 1983 to 2006. It's the main under-body tank for petrol and diesel variants fitted with an external fuel pump.
Does this tank fit all Defender 110s?
This tank fits the Defender 110 only, up to VIN (V)AA203222, on versions with an external fuel pump. Later 110s and models with an in-tank pump use a different tank, so confirm your VIN and pump type before ordering.
Why would a Defender fuel tank need replacing?
Fuel tanks on these Defenders typically fail through corrosion, seam leaks, or damage from off-road use. Signs include fuel smells, damp patches under the tank, or visible rust. A leaking tank is a fire risk, so replace it promptly.
Can this be fitted at home?
Replacing the tank is usually a workshop job. The tank must be drained, the sender and pipes disconnected, and the straps removed. Confirm the external pump setup matches, as this affects which tank and sender fit.
