Where does this bleed hose fit?
This bleed hose fits in the cooling system's bleed circuit on the Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic, running to the expansion tank on 4-cylinder Tdi diesel and V8 EFi petrol setups. It lets air escape as the system fills. Two are typically used per vehicle.
Why replace a coolant bleed hose?
Coolant bleed hoses are replaced when they perish, crack, or split, which typically causes coolant seepage, air locks, and overheating. On the Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic the rubber hardens with heat and age. A weeping bleed hose lets the system draw in air, so replace it if it's perished.
