Frequently asked questions

What is the PS105321 split pin used for?
The PS105321 split pin locks the castle nut on the power steering box drop-arm on the Range Rover Classic (1986-1994). Once the castle nut is torqued, the split pin passes through it to stop the nut backing off. It's a retention pin in the steering linkage.
How many split pins do I need and can I reuse the old one?
You need one PS105321 split pin per drop-arm castle nut on the Range Rover Classic. Split pins are single-use by design. Once bent and fitted the legs work-harden, so fit a fresh one whenever the castle nut is removed. Never refit a used split pin on a steering joint.
Where does this split pin fit on the Range Rover Classic?
This split pin fits the power steering box drop-arm on the Range Rover Classic (1986-1994). It secures the castle locking nut that holds the drop-arm to the steering box output shaft, in the steering box and linkage area under the vehicle.
