Luchtveer voor de voorkant van het elektronische luchtveersysteem. De luchtveer vervangt een conventionele schroefveer en maakt gebruik van een flexibele rubberen balg die door de compressor wordt opgeblazen om het voertuig te ondersteunen en de rijhoogte in te stellen.

De ECU van de vering regelt de luchtdruk om de rijhoogte te handhaven onder variabele belasting en om de instelbare rijhoogte-instellingen te leveren. Een versleten of lekkende luchtveer laat de desbetreffende hoek zakken en zorgt ervoor dat de compressor overmatig draait.
