Verdeler Pick-Up Plaat voor de elektronische ontsteking van de 3.5L V8 benzinemotor.

De plaat is de basisconstructie in het verdelerhuis die de magnetische pick-up draagt. Wanneer de reluctor erlangs roteert, detecteert de pick-up elke passerende tand en genereert het triggersignaal dat de ontstekingsversterker gebruikt om de bobine te schakelen en elke cilinder te ontsteken. De plaat vormt ook de beweegbare basis voor het vervroegingsmechanisme van de verdeler.

Een defecte pick-up of een gebarsten plaat veroorzaakt onregelmatige ontsteking, overslaan van de motor of een situatie zonder vonk.

What does the distributor pick-up plate do?
The distributor pick-up plate is the base assembly inside the electronic ignition distributor that carries the magnetic pick-up. As the reluctor rotates past it, the pick-up senses each tooth and generates the trigger signal the ignition amplifier uses to fire each cylinder. It's fitted to the 3.5L V8 on the Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic.
What are the signs the pick-up plate has failed?
A failed pick-up or cracked plate typically shows as erratic triggering, misfire, or a no-spark condition on the V8. Because the plate also forms the movable base for the timing-advance mechanism, a cracked plate can disturb advance too. These usually point to the distributor rather than the coil or leads.
Will this fit my V8 distributor?
