The RTC6564 is a hydraulic valve tappet kit for the 2.5 litre four-cylinder engines. Hydraulic tappets take up valve clearance automatically, so they don't need manual adjustment. It fits the Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic 200Tdi and 300Tdi.
How many tappets does the engine need?
A 2.5 four-cylinder Tdi engine typically has eight valves, so a full replacement needs eight hydraulic tappets. Check whether the RTC6564 is supplied as a single tappet or a complete kit before ordering for your Defender or Discovery 1 rebuild.
