Tussenbak - Hoge Overbrengingsverhouding is de hulpversnellingsbak in de aandrijflijn, gemonteerd achter de hoofdversnellingsbak. Deze neemt de aandrijving over van de uitgaande as van de versnellingsbak en verdeelt deze via de hoge en lage overbrenging naar de aandrijfassen van de voor- en achteras voor het vierwielaandrijvingssysteem.

What is the Series II/III high ratio transfer case?
The high ratio transfer case is the auxiliary gearbox mounted behind the main gearbox on Land Rover Series II and III. It takes drive from the gearbox output and splits it through high and low range gearing to the front and rear propshafts for four-wheel drive. This unit uses the high-ratio gearset configuration.
How does the exchange and deposit work on this transfer case?
This transfer case is supplied on an exchange basis: you receive a remanufactured unit and return your original. A deposit (statiegeld) of 125 euro applies, refunded when your old transfer case is returned. Make sure the old unit is complete before sending it back.
