Hydraulische gasveer voor de wegklapbare reservewielhouder op de Discovery 3, voor een ondersteunde opening en gecontroleerde sluiting van het houderframe.

De gasgevulde veer wordt geïnstalleerd tussen de houderconstructie en de montagepunten aan de achterkant van de carrosserie, waardoor de handmatige inspanning die nodig is om de houder open te zwaaien wordt verminderd en een gecontroleerde weerstand wordt geboden tijdens het sluiten. Dit zorgt voor een stabiele positionering van de houder wanneer deze open is en voorkomt dat de houder ongecontroleerd zwaait onder het gewicht van het gemonteerde reservewiel.
