What is the TF2343L air conditioning kit?
TF2343L is a complete kit for retrofitting factory-specification air conditioning to a left-hand-drive 300Tdi Defender (1986-2006). It installs to original-equipment standard at the front of the vehicle.
Is the air conditioning kit hard to install?
The TF2343L connects to the existing wiring loom and fuse board with no drilling required, and the major components come pre-assembled. Refrigerant charging typically still needs a specialist with the right equipment, so plan for that final step.
Will this kit fit a right-hand-drive or Td5 Defender?
No. TF2343L is configured for the 300Tdi engine in left-hand-drive Defenders only. Right-hand-drive vehicles and other engines such as the Td5 need a different kit, since the installation layout differs.
Does the kit need an extended nose cone?
No. The TF2343L uses a high-performance condenser, which removes the need for an extended front nose cone on the 300Tdi Defender. The standard front panel arrangement stays in place.
