The TF3302 synthetic winch rope is an 11mm x 24m line for the drum of an electric recovery winch, replacing conventional steel wire cable on the winch drum.
Why choose synthetic winch rope over steel cable?
Synthetic winch rope is lighter to handle and pay out, it does not develop the sharp broken strands steel cable does as it ages, and it stores far less energy under tension, reducing the hazard if the line parts during a pull.
Does synthetic rope need a special fairlead?
Yes. Synthetic winch rope must run over a hawse fairlead rather than a roller fairlead. The matching aluminium hawse fairlead is TF3303.
When should a synthetic winch rope be replaced?
Replace synthetic winch rope when it shows cuts, exposed core, glazing from heat, or heavy abrasion. A compromised recovery line can fail suddenly under load.
