What is the Terrafirma synthetic winch rope used for?
The synthetic winch rope is an 11mm x 27m replacement winch line for Terrafirma M12.5s and A12000 12V electric winches. It's supplied in blue with a rock guard abrasion sleeve over the working end, protecting the rope where it passes through the fairlead and drags across rock and gravel.
Which winches does this rope fit?
This rope fits the Terrafirma M12.5s and A12000 12V electric winches. At 11mm x 27m it replaces the original line on those winches. Check your drum width and existing rope length before ordering if your winch has been modified.
Can I run synthetic rope on a roller fairlead?
Run synthetic rope over a hawse fairlead, not a roller fairlead. Roller fairleads chafe and cut the fibres over time. The smooth alloy mouth of a hawse fairlead is designed for synthetic line and is the correct pairing for this rope.
What's the advantage of synthetic rope over steel cable?
