Frequently asked questions

What is the TF3350 tree strap used for?
The TF3350 tree strap is a 2m anchor strap with a metal eye at each end, rated 5,000 kg, used to anchor a winch line around a tree or fixed point, or as an extension between the rope and the anchor.
Can this tree strap be used as a snatch strap?
No. This is a static anchor strap and must not be used as a kinetic (snatch) recovery rope. It has no stretch and is not rated for shock loading.
What is the advantage of metal eyes over a soft loop?
The metal eyes take a shackle or a winch hook directly, so the strap connects and releases without threading a soft loop back through itself, which saves time during recovery.
How does this differ from the hook-and-eye tree strap?
This strap has a metal eye at both ends. The hook-and-eye version (TF3351) has a safety hook on one end that clips straight onto a recovery eye. Both are 2m, 5,000 kg static straps.
