Frequently asked questions

What is the hydraulic climbing jack used for?
The hydraulic climbing jack is a long-travel, high-lift jack for off-road lifting and vehicle recovery. It fills the same role as a traditional hi-lift or farm jack but raises the load on a hydraulic ram instead of a mechanical climbing mechanism, giving smoother, controlled lifting.
How much can the hydraulic climbing jack lift and how high?
The hydraulic climbing jack has a maximum lifting weight of 2 tonnes and lifts from a minimum 135mm to a maximum 1150mm. The jacking body carries 11 foot positions, so it can be set to suit high-clearance vehicles. It weighs 10.5kg.
How do the safety locks on the jack work?
The jack has dual safety locks that let it climb but won't let it fall until released. A red release valve controls the rate of descent and holds the jack at the chosen height, while a sprung base allows 20 degrees of movement for jacking on uneven ground.
What accessories are available for the climbing jack?
An off-road jack base for soft ground (TF3371) and a pair of quick-release vehicle mounting brackets (TF3372) are available separately. The jack itself is supplied with a heavy duty carry bag.
