What is the TF876 receiver hitch?
The TF876 is a removable 2in rear receiver hitch for the Land Rover Defender, mounted to the rear of the chassis. It presents a female 2in box section that accepts drop plates, recovery points and tow mounts, so attachments swap in and out instead of leaving a fixed tow bar hanging.
Which Defenders does the TF876 fit?
The TF876 fits the Land Rover Defender 90 and later Defenders from 1998 onward, including the 2007+ Puma. It bolts to the rear chassis, so confirm your Defender is a 1998-on model before ordering.
What slides into the TF876 hitch?
The TF876 takes a 2in square male section, retained by a heavy pin and security clip. The companion removable drop plate is TF879A. Recovery points and demountable winch cradles can be exchanged in the same 2in bore as needed.

Yes, the TF876 is supplied with the necessary fitting kit and retaining pin. It mounts high and close to the chassis to preserve rear departure angle off-road, unlike a fixed tow bar that hangs as the lowest point.
