What is the dog guard and what does it do?
The dog guard is a full-height mesh partition that separates the loadspace from the passenger compartment. It spans the full width and height of the loadspace opening and carries a centre divider, so the loadspace can be split into two separate compartments. It restrains cargo to ECE Regulation 17.
Which Discovery models does this dog guard fit?
This dog guard fits the Land Rover Discovery 3 (2005-2009, up to VIN 9A999999) and Discovery 4 (2010-2016, from VIN AA000001). Use your VIN to confirm which generation you have, as the loadspace anchorage differs across the change point.
Does fitting the dog guard require drilling?
No drilling is needed. The dog guard locates on the vehicle's existing loadspace anchorage points, so it fits without altering the interior trim panels, and it can be removed again when the full loadspace is needed.
Can I use the dog guard with other loadspace accessories?
The dog guard is compatible with a loadspace rubber mat, but not with the full loadspace protector. Plan your loadspace accessories around that before ordering, as the two won't fit together on the Discovery 3 or 4.
