This in-tank assembly combines the electric fuel lift pump and the fuel level sender on the Range Rover L322 (2002-2009) 3.0L M57 D30 diesel. The pump feeds the high-pressure pump while the sender reports tank level to the instrument pack. It's a Marelli-manufactured unit supplied complete.
What are the symptoms of a failing pump on the L322 diesel?
Long cranking, fuel starvation under sustained load and an inaccurate fuel gauge are the usual signs on the L322 3.0 M57 diesel. The pump and sender form one assembly, so a fault in either means fitting the complete tank-top unit.
Where does this unit fit on the vehicle?
It sits in the top of the fuel tank on the Range Rover L322, part of the fuel tank pump, sender and mountings group. The assembly withdraws through the tank-top aperture on its mounting flange. This is the 3.0L M57 D30 diesel installation only.
