What is the WFX101020G fuel pump used for?
This in-tank electric fuel pump delivers pressurised fuel through the tank-top outlet union to the engine feed line on the Discovery 1 (1989-1998) petrol models. It covers both the 2.0L four-cylinder and the 3.5, 3.9 and 4.0 V8 petrol installations, and is a Delphi unit.
Does this pump fit diesel Discovery 1 models?
No. This pump is for Discovery 1 petrol engines only, both the 2.0L four-cylinder and the V8. It also fits up to VIN VA737154, so check your build number before ordering. Diesel Discovery 1 models use a different fuel delivery arrangement.
Where is the pump located and how is it accessed?
The pump sits inside the fuel tank and is withdrawn on its mounting flange through the tank aperture. On the Discovery 1 that means gaining access to the tank top. It delivers fuel through the tank-top outlet union to the engine feed line.
