What does the TF164 wading kit do?
The TF164 is an expedition wading kit that extends the axle, gearbox, transfer box and differential breathers up to a single raised outlet using a 4-into-1 connector. Raising the breathers keeps water out of the driveline when crossing deep water, preventing contamination of the oils.
Does the TF164 wading kit fit any Land Rover engine?
No, the TF164 is for the Td5 engine only. It does not fit the 200TDi, 300TDi or the later Puma 2.4 and 2.2 engines, because the breather layout differs. Check your vehicle has the Td5 engine before ordering this specific kit.
