What does the Polyurethane Bush Kit cover?
The Polyurethane Bush Kit is a complete-vehicle suspension bush set for the Land Rover Discovery 2, replacing the rubber mounting bushes throughout the axle-location linkages. It covers the radius arm, panhard rod, anti-roll bar and transverse linkage outer mountings. Shock absorber bushes aren't included.
Does this bush kit fit a Discovery 2 with ACE?
Partly. The Polyurethane Bush Kit fits the Land Rover Discovery 2, but the front anti-roll bar bushes in this set aren't suitable for vehicles fitted with ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement). The rest of the kit still applies. Check whether your Discovery 2 has ACE before fitting the anti-roll bar bushes.
What's the benefit of polyurethane bushes over rubber?
Polyurethane bushes give firmer axle location than the original rubber while still allowing articulation and damping vibration. Rubber suspension bushes soften and perish with age, causing vague handling and clonks on the Land Rover Discovery 2. Poly bushes resist that wear and sharpen up the location.
Do the bushes need a press to fit?
No, this Polyurethane Bush Kit can be fitted without a press, unlike some pressed-in rubber bushes. Fitting still typically calls for standard suspension hand tools and raising the Land Rover Discovery 2 safely. Note the kit doesn't include shock absorber bushes.
