Frequently asked questions

What is the DA5137 air-to-coil conversion kit and what does it do?
The DA5137 converts the Discovery 2 rear self-levelling air suspension to conventional coil springs and raises the rear ride height by 2 inches. It replaces the ageing air springs with coils to remove the reliability problems of the air system.
What is included in the kit, and do I need anything else?
The kit includes the rear coil springs, spring isolators, spring seats and fixing bolts. Shock absorbers are not included and are ordered separately to suit the 2-inch raised ride height. It converts the rear only on the Discovery 2 (1998-2004).
Why convert the Discovery 2 rear air suspension to coils?
Converting to coils removes the ageing air springs that commonly fail and leak on the Discovery 2, causing the rear to sag. Coil springs need no compressor or height sensors, so they are typically simpler and cheaper to maintain over time.
