Koelventilator voor het motorkoelcircuit, aangedreven door de poelie van de waterpomp en lucht door de radiatorkern trekkend.

De visco-koppeling (ventilatorkoppeling) regelt de ventilatorsnelheid met de temperatuur onder de motorkap, door de bladen in te schakelen wanneer de koelbehoefte toeneemt en ze vrij te laten lopen wanneer deze afneemt om parasitaire weerstand en geluid te verminderen. Gemonteerd op de 4.0L en 4.6L V8 EFI benzinemotor.

What's needed to remove the viscous fan?
Removing the ERR4960LR viscous fan typically needs a large thin fan spanner to hold the pulley while the fan nut is undone, and on many Rover V8 installations that nut is a left-hand thread. It's a fiddly job in a tight engine bay but achievable at home with the right fan-removal tools.
