What is the ERR5554NR piston?
The ERR5554NR is a high-compression piston for the 4.6L V8 EFI petrol engine, supplied without piston rings. It transmits combustion pressure through the gudgeon pin to the connecting rod and crankshaft.
Are rings included with this piston?
Supplied less rings, this piston needs a separate 4.6L ring set to finish the build, which suits engine builders selecting their own rings. The high-compression crown matches the 4.6L specification.
How many pistons do I need and what fits?
The 4.6L V8 takes eight pistons, so a rebuild needs a matched set of eight fitted as a graded group. Fits Range Rover P38 4.6L V8 EFI and Discovery 2 V8 petrol.
