What happens if the low ratio detection switch fails?
A faulty low ratio switch typically causes the dashboard low-range indicator to stay off, flash incorrectly, or stay on permanently regardless of the range actually selected. The transfer box itself still shifts normally since the switch only feeds the indicator circuit.
