Brand Nissens

Frequently asked questions

What does the JRB100790G condenser do?
JRB100790G is the R134a air conditioning condenser mounted ahead of the radiator at the front of the vehicle. It condenses the high-pressure refrigerant vapour from the compressor back to liquid before it passes on to the receiver-drier and expansion valve.
Why would this condenser fail?
Front-mounted condensers typically suffer stone damage to the fins or slowly leak from internal corrosion, both of which reduce cooling efficiency. Weaker air con at low speed or in traffic is a common early symptom of a failing condenser.
Is this the correct condenser for my Discovery 2?
JRB100790G fits the Discovery 2 (1998-2004) in the non-Gulf, less GCC specification for R134a systems. Vehicles built to Gulf-market spec use a different condenser, so check your original market spec before ordering.
