Carterpanpakking voor de Td5 2.5L 5-cilinder turbodieselmotor. Deze dicht de verbinding af tussen de oliecarterpan en het cilinderblok binnen het motorsmeringssysteem.

Als statische afdichting bij het ondercarter houdt deze motorolie vast bij het contactvlak van de carterpan met het blok en voorkomt deze lekkage uit de verbinding. De pakking wordt vernieuwd telkens wanneer de carterpan wordt verwijderd of opnieuw wordt gemonteerd.

What is the Td5 sump gasket used for?
The Td5 sump gasket seals the joint between the oil sump and the cylinder block on the 2.5L Td5 five-cylinder turbo diesel. It's a static seal at the lower crankcase that keeps engine oil in and stops leaks at the sump-to-block face. This genuine gasket fits Defender 1987-2006 and Discovery 2 1998-2004.
Does the sump gasket need replacing every time the sump comes off?
Yes, replace the Td5 sump gasket every time the sump is removed or refitted. It's a single-use static seal, and reusing an old one usually leads to oil weeping from the sump-to-block joint. Clean both mating faces fully and fit a new gasket when refitting the sump.
Which engine and models does this sump gasket fit?
This sump gasket fits only the 2.5L Td5 five-cylinder turbo diesel, as used in Defender 1987-2006 and Discovery 2 1998-2004. Confirm your vehicle has the Td5 engine rather than an earlier 200Tdi or 300Tdi, since those use a different sump arrangement and gasket.
