On the Range Rover P38 4.0/4.6 V8 EFI, this throttle body heater fits from VIN XA410482 onward, so check your VIN before ordering. It also fits the Discovery 2 4.0 V8 EFI petrol from 1998-2004. It does not suit diesel models.
What are the signs the throttle body heater has failed?
A failed throttle body heater typically shows as cold-weather idle problems, hesitation or throttle icing on the V8 EFI engine. Without it working, condensation and frost can build at the throttle in cold conditions. Fitting a genuine replacement restores proper cold running on the Discovery 2 or Range Rover P38.
