Ladder achterop wordt aan de achterkant van het voertuig vastgeschroefd en biedt een veilige ondergrond om op het dak en de imperiaal te klimmen. De sporten geven een stabiele hand- en voethouvast bij het laden of lossen van op het dak gemonteerde apparatuur of bij het bereiken van een daktent.

De ladder wordt aan de achterdeur bevestigd en gemonteerd met eenvoudig handgereedschap. Het is afgewerkt met een zwarte poedercoating met textuur over een verzinkte basis voor corrosiebestendigheid.
