Koplampglaspakking dicht het glas af op de koplampbehuizing binnenin de verlichtingsunit aan de voorzijde.

Het vormt de weerbestendige verbinding tussen het glazen koplampglas en de reflectorbehuizing, waardoor het binnendringen van vocht en stof wordt voorkomen dat anders de optiek zou doen beslaan en de reflector zou corroderen. Geschikt voor Carello-type koplampunits.

What is the STC1713 headlamp lens gasket and what does it do?
The STC1713 headlamp lens gasket seals the glass lens to the headlamp body on Carello-type units. It forms the weatherproof joint that keeps moisture and dust out of the headlamp, preventing the optic fogging and the reflector corroding. Fitted to the Land Rover Discovery 1 and Discovery 2.
Does this gasket fit all Discovery headlamps?
No, this gasket fits Carello-type headlamps only. On the Discovery 1 it applies up to VIN MA081992, and on the Discovery 2 it's the CDN/MEX/USA market unit up to VIN 2A299999. Check your headlamp make and VIN before ordering, as other units use a different seal.
How many headlamp lens gaskets do I need?
You'll typically need one gasket per headlamp, so two for a full pair on the Discovery. They're usually renewed whenever a headlamp is opened for a new lens or reflector, since a disturbed seal often won't reseal reliably. Order to match the number of lamps you're refurbishing.
