What is the STC3917 heater pipe kit for?
The STC3917 kit supplies the heater inlet and outlet pipes for the front heater and air conditioning unit. On Discovery 1 it carries coolant to and from the heater matrix, and it's listed for air-conditioned vehicles only.
Where does this kit fit on the vehicle?
The heater pipes run between the engine bulkhead and the front heater unit on Discovery 1, feeding coolant into the heater matrix inside the housing. That puts them at the base of the windscreen scuttle area and behind the dashboard.
