What is the TFHPIN hitch pin?
The TFHPIN is a retaining pin for a 2in receiver hitch. It passes through the cross-drilled bores of the hitch housing and the inserted square shank, locking a towing or recovery attachment against being pulled out under load. It's held captive by a security clip in the assembly.
What does the TFHPIN fit?
The TFHPIN fits a 2in receiver hitch that accepts a 2in square-section shank, such as the Terrafirma TF876 rear receiver hitch. It's the pin that locks a drop plate, tow ball mount or recovery hitch into the housing.
When would I need a TFHPIN?
Fit the TFHPIN as a replacement for a lost or worn hitch pin, or carry one as a spare alongside a drop plate or recovery hitch. Paired with a security clip, it keeps the towing or recovery attachment locked in the 2in receiver bore.
