The H1 55W bulb is a single-filament halogen capsule on a P14.5s base that serves one beam function per bulb. On the Discovery 2 it's the front fog lamp bulb. On the Range Rover P38 it fits the headlamp reflector and the front fog lamp.
How many H1 bulbs should I order?
Order two if you want matched output side to side. Bulbs dim with age, so replacing both fog or both headlamp bulbs at once keeps beam brightness and colour even. Each H1 handles a single beam function, so count one per reflector you're servicing.
Will this H1 bulb fit both headlamp and fog lamp?
On the Range Rover P38 the H1 fits both the headlamp reflector and the front fog lamp. On the Discovery 2 it's specified for the front fog lamp. Confirm your reflector is built around the H1 optic, since H1 only suits single-filament housings.
